Nankeen Kestrel

Nankeen Kestrels are quite common in lots of places, but we only saw a few in Kakadu. The first photo is one from Kakadu that perched obligingly on a sign near the South Alligator River. The second and third photos are from this afternoon while I was walking the dogs in the hills around Alice Springs and saw one sitting on the rocks, just watching the surroundings, and then flew off nearby.

Happy Birding!
