New Lens makes all the difference - Whistling Kite

It seems to have taken forever, but finally splashed on a new lens - Canon 100 - 400 IS. There have been a few times over the past months where I have been disappointed by my lack of photographic skills and although a new lens won't fix all of them, it has already proved a winner with me.
After work yesterday I gave it a good run and saw this Whistling Kite circling and then land 30-40 metres away from me. Normally I would have taken a "nice" shot, but the detail wouldn't be anything like what I would have hoped for. The following shots are much clearer than I have been used to and an obliging bird always helps too:

  1. Great photos. Congratulations on the new toy. I love lenses and you've got a goody. Whistlers are cool birds too.
