Major Mitchell Cockatoos
were one of the surprises along the Woodland Trail. They were followed by a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo and amongst the Mulgas, my son and I found a Rufous Whistler,
and a pair of Nankeen Kestrels patrolled the burnt open country now with green shoots coming through.
On the drive back we saw a beautiful pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles sitting amongst the Mulga near the road.
