My backyard is normally fairly quiet, except for the constant sounds of the Western Bowerbirds. I counted 6 in and around the backyard one day a couple of weeks ago. They must have a nest nearby, but I haven't discovered it, or a bower. But, the Western Bowerbirds love the pond, birdbath and the next door neighbour's Peppercorn tree. They have given me a lot of joy, and a lot of photo opportunities. Below is a selection of some of my favourite photos:
