White-bellied Sea-eagles at Mary River - Corroboree Billabong and Cooinda - Kakadu National Park

On our recent trip up north, we saw a number of White-bellied Sea-eagles. The skippers of the cruises seem to think that is what a lot of people want to see so you get a lot of chances at some nice photos, almost to the point of, ummm.... "ok great, we've seen them, would there be any other birds you could show us?" But they are majestic birds and despite seemingly having no tail, are very big birds too.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

  3. Wonderful pictures, Richard. These eagles inspired me to take bird photos when I was a kid but once I got a camera they seemed to avoid me. Lucky you!
