White-necked Heron at Lajamanu
Not something I would have equated - a waterbird and Lajamanu, but there is a bit of water in the creek/river that runs around the town, and posing splendidly in the midday sun was this White-necked Heron:
Great pics here Richard! This bird is real beauty with his spotted whie neck and one I have never seen! Waterholes are a very interesting place to watch all sorts of "fishing" birds! He seems as big as the Grey Heron we've got in France and is quite common I think worldwide! Well done!
