Pallid Cuckoo dilemma

Not actually sure as I am not an ornithologist, but there seems to be something happening here in the middle of the underparts of the Pallid Cuckoo. I have included a 6 shot series of smaller photographs and then one full size at the end. The orange "appearing" thing is what I am wondering about:
