The last week was spent at Finke, the nearest community to the geographical heart of Australia. I think the total number of species was about 50, I'll add the link to the Eremaea list here later.
One of the highlights was the Rainbow Bee-eaters that frequented the powerlines and trees around my accommodation. They really are a spectacularly colourful bird:

Between the township, the poo ponds and along the road near Finke back to Kulgera, there was quite an amazing variety, as well as some rather "common" birds missing. Below is a selection of photos of other birds from the past week:
